El Rasto (Madrid's enormous flea market)

Every Sunday, there's a huge flea market, called el Rastro, a short distance from our apartment.  It's Europe’s largest flea market and it'd been around since the middle ages.  There's a mishmash of everything imaginable amongst the madness.
Owen would rather be riding a train.

Stuff for sale...

An olive market on the street - Yum!

The boys afterwards having a merienda (snack).  I gave them all haircuts the day before - can you tell?

  1. Wow Kate- add barber to your list of talents! The flea market looks like great fun- though Owen may argue otherwise. Great pictures of the kids!

  2. Well...the haircuts are pretty bad. But it was easier than trying to get it done in Spanish:)

I hope you are doing well Lu. I can't wait to see your garden this year! I've been hearing so much about the seeds, lots and lots of seeds.

  4. It has been fun and a blessing to have this time here in Spain. And we'll be happy when it's time to come home and see everyone we miss.
